Remember when I cautioned about not stripping the pilot screw (the screw on the carb that adjusts mixture) because it's made of brass? Well guess what I did... Didn't really "strip" it per se, I just destroyed the slot that the screwdiver is supposed to fit in....
Anyway, for those that are interested, a replacement pilot screw will cost you $8.23 from your friendly Suzuki dealer (the brass plug which covers it is another $2.99). The good news is that the replacement is steel, and is slightly shorter, which means that it doesn't get destroyed as easy, and that it lets in more fuel. I'm 2 turns out now and sounding deep and manly with no backfire (yet)!
By the way, there's not much room to drill the brass screw out, so if you really are inclined to fuss around with it alot, you may want to get the steel one in there before you mees it up.
